Brett Einbecker was a 4-time lettermen winner for the Waubonsie Valley Boys Track team from the spring of 2005 until the spring of 2008. During this time, Brett was also one of the most feared shot put and discus throwers in the state of Illinois. Today, Brett Einbecker is known as the best shot put and discus thrower in Waubonsie Valley’s 40-year history. Brett’s accomplishments inside the ring speak for themselves: 3-time Indoor & Outdoor UEC All-Conference in the Shot Put and Discus, Conference Champion in the Discus, 4-time IHSA Sectional Champion in the Discus and Shot Put, 3-time IHSA State Qualifier. Brett also received All-State honors in both the Discus and Shot Put during his Junior and Senior seasons. In the spring of 2008, Brett Einbecker won the IHSA State Championship in the Discus!! Following his high school season Brett competed in the Nike Outdoor Nationals and finished 4th overall in the discus, making him an All-American. Einbecker finished his career with the 3rd longest discus throw in Illinois history and had the 11th longest throw in the nation in 2008. To this very day, Brett Einbecker holds two track records that will be extremely difficult to break: the WVHS Discus Record of 197’6.5” and the WVHS Shot Put Record of 59’8”. With the assistance of Brett’s accomplishments in the ring, the Waubonsie Boys Track team won the UEC Conference Championship and placed 8th overall at the IHSA State Meet during his Senior season. Following high school, Brett Einbecker took his talents to the University of Illinois where he became a 4-year track and field letter winner. During his time at the University of Illinois he was ranked the 5th in nation in the discus and competed in one indoor and four outdoor Big Ten Championships. Brett Einbecker is currently the Head Coach of the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Team at Missouri Valley College.
