Mike Rogowski served as Athletic Director at Waubonsie Valley High School from the fall of 1995 through the spring of 2013: he became the second Athletic Director in school history. For 18 years Mike Rogowski was a fixture at Waubonsie Valley athletic events and took great pride in being a Warrior One of Mike's biggest facility upgrade projects during his time at WVHS was the development of the soccer stadium complex, providing the football and soccer programs with their own facility. In addition, he played a major role in introducing badminton, boys' volleyball, and girls' bowling to Waubonsie as official IHSA sports. During Mike's tenure, he witnessed 79 Conference Championships and 101 second place finishes in the Upstate Eight Conference. He also saw his coaching staff and the student-athletes of Waubonsie Valley collect 109 Regional Championships and 72 Sectionals Championships. Of the 18 state trophies that Waubonsie Valley owns, Mike was part of 13 state trophies, including: one 4th place finish, five 3rd place finishes, three 2nd place finishes, and four state championships. It has been estimated that Mike had nearly 20,000 student-athletes participate in his athletic programs during his time as Athletic Director at Waubonsie Valley High School. Mike Rogowski was involved in the addition of Neuqua Valley High School (1997) and Metea Valley High School (2009). His leadership and guidance helped greatly in establishing their athletic programs. Mike Rogowski served as a tremendous leader and mentor during his time at Waubonsie Valley; every decision he made during his tenure was in the best interest of the student-athletes and the school.
